Co.Br.Ha and Haacht Brewery Take a New Step in Their Transformation Process

“Our beers are not released onto the market until a professional panel has approved their taste and quality. The fact that an international jury has once again recognized and appreciated this reaffirms our dedication and our efforts. It’s a wonderful acknowledgment of the hard work of all our colleagues, because together we make a difference. The Tongerlo Tripel abbey beer has won awards on multiple occasions. Bottle-fermented with a hoppy aroma and spicy, intense fruit notes such as peach and banana, this tripel consistently charms international juries with its full-bodied flavor. Tongerlo Blond also proved its worth, this time winning bronze. In 2014, Tongerlo Blond was named the best of the best, winning its first gold medal across all categories and countries at the World Beer Awards.

The brewery’s classic, Primus pilsner, won bronze in the highly competitive Classic Pilsener category. This 100% Belgian classic still offers the same taste experience as the authentic recipe: delicate hop aromas with a slightly sweet start and restrained bitterness that leads to a dry and thirst-quenching finish. Meanwhile, Haacht Brewery is working on the launch of two new Primus varieties, which will be introduced this fall.

At the World Beer Awards, taste and quality are the decisive criteria in the blind tasting process. A team of international judges individually evaluates the quality of the submitted beers. A World Beer Award serves as a seal of approval designed to help consumers in their search for delicious, top-quality beers.
