Haacht Brewery took home a silver medal at the 11th edition of the Brussels Beer Challenge<\/strong>, an annual beer competition for brewers and breweries whose primary goal is to support beer culture. Tongerlo Bruin<\/strong> won silver in the Dark Ale: Abbey \/ Trappist Style Dubbel<\/em> category .<\/em><\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Lien Meeus<\/strong>, managing director of marketing and communications at Haacht Brewery, explains: \u201cEarlier this fall, we won four awards in all the popular beer categories at the prestigious International Beer Challenge<\/strong>. We are therefore very proud that, with this silver medal, Haacht Brewery has once again confirmed its status as a sustainable and versatile beer producer offering high-quality, innovative products and forward-thinking service.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n

About 2,000 beers from 41 countries, including no fewer than 100 tripels\u201460 of which come from the Low Countries\u2014competed this year. And, of course, Haacht Brewery\u2014with its range of both traditional and innovative products\u2014couldn\u2019t be left off the list of participants and winners. For each category of participating beers (divided by origin, type, and style), the Brussels Beer Challenge jury\u2014composed of internationally renowned beer connoisseurs from around the world\u2014awards a gold, silver, or bronze award based on blind tastings. <\/p>\n

Silver Medal for Tongerlo Bruin It\u2019s clear that beer experts appreciate the refined notes of vanilla complemented by the delicate bitterness of dark chocolate in our Tongerlo Bruin. The initial taste of this subtle dubbel is full-bodied and sweet, followed by a sweet mid-palate with notes of vanilla and roasted banana. The finish is characterized by a roasted bitterness, with hints of dark chocolate. <\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
